Science is not just a subject to learn. It is packed with creativity. For instance, everyone in their childhood must have done the ‘turmeric-soap’ experiment, where sprinkling a pinch of turmeric on the soap turns it red. This was a simple experiment to test the alkalinity, but it was very satisfying for us at that age. Science is just unimaginable. It helps us to unveil the secrets of nature, secrets of the universe, and even the secrets of your own body! Do you remember how old were you, when you realised that your tongue rests on the upper part of your mouth?

There are various branches of science like physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, environmental science, etc. which can also be subdivided further as biochemistry, astrophysics, organic chemistry etc. You would study about such interesting topics in the upcoming chapters.
