Solar Eclipse
(These dots you see are known as Sunspots)
On June 21, 2020, there were two very special celestial events, specifically the Annular Solar Eclipse and the Summer Solistice. This Solar eclipse was a "Ring Of Fire". There are many myths and superstitions about eclipses. Some say that it is the Devil's shadow while some say that the Sun and the Moon are fighting. But, scientifically comprehending it's just a special positioning of the Sun, Moon and the Earth when the Moon comes in between the Earth and the Sun. It's fascinating to watch the Solar Eclipse, but one should never watch it with naked eyes and should always use the eclipse glasses or a pinhole camera.
The Summer Solistice is the Longest day of the year. It usually occurs on June 21. It occurs when one of the poles has the maximum tilt towards the Sun. It happens twice a year, once in each hemisphere.
